Low solar activity - slow start to Hurricane season.

The global warming theorists reported many times that Global warming is here – and that this will lead to an increase in and intensity of hurricanes in the Northern Hemisphere. Last year we were told that 2008 would be an active year – and it was not. No reporting on this fact. Nor a mutter from the Global warming religion.

This year so far the storm season has yet to start - we have failed to have a single storm that could be upgraded to hurricane status in the Northern Hemisphere so far.

Where is all the news stories on this? Why haven't the Global warming fanatics said a word about it. Could that be because this year will in fact be quieter then usual despite their forecasts of vicious hurricanes on almost an annual basis?

Mark my words it will not be long before in their desperation they claim that the lack of hurricanes is a result of global warming. Don't forget global warming were blamed for unusually heavy snows that fell in the USA during recent winter months.

Onto my pet subject of solar activity and the sun has had no sunspot activity now for over a month – and is at extremely low levels of activity with no solar flares, and the solar wind remains low. Solar activity is forecast to remain low, at least in the short term.

It appears we could be approaching a 'maunder minimum'. The low solar activity in my opinion will lead to global cooling rather than global warming. The ice fairs on the river Thames in London occurred during a maunder minimum.

Interesting is the new way of reporting global temperature nowadays by those with a vested interest. 2008 were reported to be the tenth warmest year on record. A long way from the hottest year on record which were in 1998 or 2005 – depending on what you believe.

Since solar activity has diminished to record low levels in our life time – the world has cooled enough to wipe out all the warming that has happened in the last few decades – but no news media interest in that fact although if you look hard enough you will find hard evidence and reporting on the internet. Don't forget too that when reports are supplied that says ' on record' these records are for a relatively short period. Data that can be assessed proves that ice cores prove the earth were at several points in our history warmer – and more important that climate change from hot to cold resulting in an ice age has occurred at a frightening speed - less than a decade - several times in the earth's history. The causes of which has been researched very little. More on this at a later time.
