Time to prepare....

It is quite amusing that no sooner than the latest summit on global warming has started - we enter a winter that may make headlines all around the world. In fact if this winter goes to my way of thinking we may well be excused for thinking we are all into another mini ice age. However, we will have to wait a while for that, the next decade should do nicely.

What we are going to get in this next 2 weeks is a sample of what is to come – a kind of mild teaser. You will know what I mean when it arrives. I can imagine you guys thinking I am bonkers. But believe me we are in for the worse winter we have had since the days of old. And by the middle of the next decade – much worse.

The jet stream is going to be much further south than we have known in our lifetime – bringing very unsettled weather to the Med, Spain, south of France, and Portugal, very cold weather further north. Even the poor old Canary Islands – one of my favourite holiday islands – is going to be influenced by this turn around – in what will become a global turn in weather.

Of course – this is all because of Global warming. And we all have ourselves to blame don't we?

Well no we don't. Remember all those statements a couple of years ago from scientist that were informing us about Global warming. Telling us that the sun has little or no influence?

They are just about to find out they are wrong. Many factors are involved in the way the sun effects our weather. But basically the sun has gone to sleep. And that is a bad thing for our small planet. Unless of course you like cold. Hence the coming cold that could become a mini ice age. Anyone for an ice cream:-)
